Horse for Lease

Tango is a 15.2 hands, 8 year old, Canada-bred Paint/Thoroughbred cross gelding. With a classical training background, he is athletic, very sound, healthy, and a hard worker. Experienced showing in various English disciplines, including 1st level dressage, and ready to progress to higher levels in any discipline with a rider interested in a long-term relationship. He grooms, trailers well, and has no vices. Lease would be preferably on-farm in Colchester, full or half, with a flexible term. Current rider (since his first steps under saddle at 3 years old), will be off to college out of state soon. Please call Carole 802 310 4287 or email cdgraas@msn.com

Stall available in Colchester Co-operative Barn

(Big Foot Ranch)

We have a total of 6 stalls at Big Foot Ranch, which is located off exit 17 on the Milton Colchester boarder (see www.bigfootranch.com for pictures and more detailed description of the chores etc).  The stalls are walk -ins with direct access to a paddock and pasture during the day. Dressage size outdoor arena and beautiful trails. This is the perfect setting for an experienced horse person who wants to enjoy a quiet, beautiful barn without competition and crowds. We are a group of 5 women between 20 and 45 years old who love to treat this barn and all the horses as our own. We provide excellent care for each others horses and are looking for a reliable, responsible, happy person with a horse (preferably gelding) that has good barn manners and is used to group turnout. Please e-mail Jessica at jebert@vt-law.org

Appendix Quarter Horse Mare for adoption

Pretty bay mare, 15.2, fourteen years old, with great conformation and comfortable gaits, she is well trained for English equitation.
She has a good mouth and goes in a French link snaffle, but she is not for a complete beginner rider. Anyone who can walk/trot/canter without hanging on the reins should be all right, especially in the ring. She loves to jump, but gets quite strong doing that.  She is good for the vet, farrier, etc. Does better turned out alone - not aggressive but gets bonded with other horses.
She's up for adoption because this spring she developed a condition called headshaking. She seems to be allergic to dust, pollen, and bright light. With medication (Cyproheptadine) twice a day and a fly mask covering her nose, she now seems to be good for light riding and regular turnout. Please call 802-999-8431 for more information.
